Hand drawn sketch for an OPEN sign. Not sure if anyone is going to use it, but I might just print it and have it at my house. We’ll see.
If you have any words or names that you want to see illustrated, let me know! I’d love to take on some little extra projects for people.

Few more practiced lettering jobs. I am now transitioning over to using pens full time instead of a inkwell & nib. Sure, I lose some points for badassery, but the quality has definitely jumped.

Ok, ok, so I’m behind.

When this summer began, I thought that I was going to have a ton of free time to go hiking, draw letters, and enjoy some Scotch. But, I ended up shutting down my freelancing to turn my full attention over to a new company: Mocavo.

I am extremely happy at the new job, the projects are amazing and my designs have been improving every day. But, there is one small problem: I have very little free time.

Thus, the lack of updates.

I promise to be better as I settle in to the new job. Hope you stay with me and enjoy the new illustrations that are coming.

Progress on lettering for Jana Trantow. Wanted to experiment with creating type that had a feminine flair to it.

How to warm up to drawing with ink. Just write a well-known word many, many times. How eloquent can it get?
